Techgnosis Symposium
A quick plug for what promises to be a great little event down in Elephant and Castle this Friday:

Celebrating the reissue of Techgnosis: Myth, Magic & Mysticism in the Age of Information by Erik Davis
Friday 19th November, 7pm til late. At The Corsica Arts Club, Corsica Studios, 5 Elephant Road, London, SE17 1LB.
Featuring presentations by:
- ERIK DAVIS, author, Techgnosis
- KODWO ESHUN, The Otolith Group; author, More Brilliant Than the Sun
- MIKE JAY, author, The Unfortunate Colonel Despard, The Air Loom Gang, Emperors of Dreams
- JULIAN VAYNE, author, Pharmakon: Drugs & The Imagination, Now That’s What I Call Chaos Magick.
Speakers will make a 25 minute presentation on subjects relating to contemporary myth, magic & mysticism, followed by an open panel discussion, chaired by Strange Attractor’s Mark Pilkington.
The night will climax with a moving philosophical entertainment involving live mains electricity and high frequency electro-medical equipment: NATIONAL GRID : DISINFORMATION vs STRANGE ATTRACTOR
Running throughout the evening will be a live, mind-warping brain machine installation by TESTCARD. "’The TRANSMIT project is an active biofeedback ’soft’ machine installation exploring the shifting world of the mind. Performance research range from Ouija board transmissions and E.V.P recordings to brain frequency and mind/ body experiments seeking answers to hidden truths through intuitive approaches."
The event will dissolve into an informal night of music provided by the speakers, plus DJs from Kosmische & Resonance FM.
