A New Book in a New Website

It took a while, but here it is: a new design. Hope you dig.

Archaeologies of Consciousness

It was going to coincide with Dreamflesh Journal 2, but that’s been postponed until next year due to the book of my essays on prehistory I’ve just released: Archaeologies of Consciousness. It’s turned out beautifully. Mostly it’s previously published material, but collected to together for the first time in print—a long overdue move. There is a new in-depth introduction, new art, new photos, a full index, a foreword by Julian Cope, and truly stunning cover art by Andy Hemingway. Buy now!

The book evolved out of the idea I had of getting a pamplet of my essays on archaic consciousness for the imminent Metageum conference in Malta. (Readers of this post will be amused / disgusted / self-satisfied / uninterested (delete as applicable) to learn that various circumstances have left me taking the plane to the event. Ah well. Maybe I’ll offset the journey by blowing up a few urban 4×4’s.)

Anyway, here’s a few of the more notable changes in the new website:

I’m going to try and post when I can during the Metageum conference, but you know how these things go. It might be just a mammoth review when I get back.

OK, looking forward to posting more stuff and being able to chat again in the comments!
