On nihilism and enthusiasm
Nihilism and enthusiasm can manifest in association with both connectivity and freshness.
There is the nihilism to be found in too many inheritances, the burden of history, a tangled nightmare from which one tries to awake; and there is the nihilism found in isolation, alienation, lack of reference points, the terror of infinity.
There is the enthusiasm to be found in deep connections, multiple correspondences, a heady excess of relationships; and there is the enthusiasm found in an open road, the blue sky, the shedding of the weight of obligations and contact.
Any philosophy of enthusiasm that sides with either connectivity or freshness condemns itself to obvious shadows.

Oh I don’t agree. When I hear the term ‘enthusiasm’ is straightaway tells me its connection with the very Greek term it is translation from enthousiasmos, and its main definition of ” Ecstasy arising from supposed possession by a god.” And we know this means *eating* the ‘god’, the entheogen, and enthusiams has been translated as ‘possession’/being possessed by the god
And for those of us who have had psychedelic experience, we know what we mean about being enthused….Your eyes become the eyes of Medusa, as you draw in the magical energies and souls of sensual reality
N O T H I N G is insignifianct in that state of enthusiasm/possession even the shadows, so in that respect we agree then ;)~

I think you’re opening “I don’t agree” should have been “I’ve got some interesting extra information”!
