Paul Devereux on archaeoacoustics
Paul’s just given the thumbs-up to my posting my MP3 of his Metageum talk on archaeoacoustics. The field—which looks at the acoustic aspects of prehistory, often via in situ experimentation with sonics at archaeological sites—is in its early stages; Paul compares it to archaeoastronomy in the 1960s. While it loses a little for not having the visual element of Paul’s presentation, this talk is a good intro:
